Russel Stover candy company is producing the Cadbury Creme
Eggs normally associated with the Easter holiday.... for Halloween.

I give you Russel Stover's Buzzard Creme Eggs. To my knowledge, I haven't seen these before, though I very well may have been oblivious to the fact these existed for years.

Nevertheless, I do believe this is a welcome addition to the canon of Hallowen candy-- whenever it did, indeed, arrive.

Anyone spotted this sign of the season yet? I do believe they'll begin cropping up around here soon, in time for the harvest.

 The store locator on their website lists locations for this year, but with no definite opening dates other than "Opening Soon!" 

 Hopefully, the wait will not be too long. Has anyone seen any signs of a store yet?

This past Sunday, August 14 marked two years since I first decided to sit down and live out my obsession with all which bumps in the chilled October night, once the lights go out, with this blog. It seems mere days ago, when I sat down, to explain in my first post why I miss October.

And I hoped against hope others like me would be able to get something out what I had to say about my love for the haunted season of falling leaves, and I am so immensely grateful for all the readers and followers who share in the Ghost Upon the Floor community, and celebrate our love for All Hallow's Eve together!

This past weekend, I was able to stop by one of our local Big Lots stores and, as has been the case the last few years, there appears to be mostly standard to great items.

I didn't but anything (yet,) but do have my eyes set on this Black Cat Silhouette Light decoration, to go with the Witch who first appeared two years ago (and I snared for 7 dollars at a day after Halloween sale that year.)


They also appear to have some new, more Vintage-inspired pieces, such as the signs below.




And I have a bit of a soft spot for these skeletal tea light holders? Although, at $4, the price is a bit much.

 Another Yankee Candle "Boney Bunch"-themed post. The following is what I purchased from the "After-Life" party on Saturday.

 I also ordered this year's "Bride and Groom" online, and was considering the Witch and the Chapel (the latter which, to me, looks much better in person- I didn't warm to it as much online), but they are now apparently sold out.

 Words do not easily convey how much the Ghost loves the Yankee Candle Company's "Boney Bunch" line. For the past few years, the "Boney Bunch" has sky-rocketed to holiday popularity, quickly selling out within days of arriving in the stores, and soaring to higher prices for collectors on eBay. 

 Tomorrow, Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 10AM at your local store, is the "After Life Party," the preview for the 2011 "Boney Bunch" line. The store knows full well what seasonal gold they have with this line, as I just received a voicemail from an employee calling to remind those who signed up for the party that on Saturday morning their will be refreshments and raffles at the preview party.

 Last year, my favorite buy was the Boney Gothic Farmer Couple. Desperately, though, I had wanted some of the raven themed items, and the Headless Horseman themed one. (As well as the skeleton couple in bed, too.) 

They've released this video, and I have to say, the Reaper and the Chapel are my early favorites. 

 Saturday cannot come soon enough! I will be live-blogging from the store when I am there.
